There is an argument to be made that the mother can not waive the child’s citizenship.

Yes, that seems to the applicable law at the time, in regard citizenship. It seems to me that Article II creates a stricter test than any citizenship law might have, in this case both Obama’s Dad’s non-citizenship creates an impairment to the “natural born” status (that can be removed ONLY by Constitutional Amendment) and his mom’s overseas travels creates a second impairment. That second impairment is due to citizenship — about which Congress CAN set law and regulation, and it may have been resolved if Obama was ever made a naturalized citizen.
True or not, conservatives should give it a wide berth. Berg is already saying the devil(Repubs) made him do it. If someone like Rush says anything, it will be all on him. Berg and Texas Darlin’ will be conveniently forgotten.
Time will tell.

FactCheck has given us a much better look at the document. But the definitive way for Barry to put this thing to rest is not to produce a piece of paper. Rather it is to authorize the State of Hawaii to release the info directly to whomever asks. Otherwise, people will continue to raise questions and spin cockamamie theories.
