Nurse in office had flu, didn't tell my wife until during her visit. Now she is home and sniffling.
If my wife gets the flu for the birth, better darn well know I am going to get animated with the doctor about the staff. No mask or anything.
Irresponsible IMO.
It was a question I had before: If you work at a health clinic, can you call in sick?
Now we know the answer.
Ay, yi,yi!
At this point, the gestation period is still 10 days away, and unless the nurse was running a fever, there isn’t much chance of Mrs. Guy and Baby Guy getting the flu. (Trust me: I’m a mother!)
Newborns also have an immune system that won’t quit, especially if they are able to breast feed for at least the first two weeks.
Still, if you ever run into a sniffling nurse in ANY setting, ask these questions: Are you running a fever? Where is your mask? Follow it up with: I think we’ll be changing Providers.
You never know. But I bet by now A CA Gal is ready for it to be over. Praying it all goes well.
