Women have puzzled over it for yearswhy the heck do men do the things they do? Why do they profess their love for you one minute, then ignore you the next (say, when an Attila the Hun special turns up on TV)? Why can they not remember our birthdays? Let science explain some of these conundrumsand help you rev up your relationships!
Be patient with his memory The hippocampus, where initial memories are formed, occupies a smaller percent of the male brain than the female brain. If on your first date he can't remember where you work, even though you told him all about it when you met, just remember that size matters hippocampus size, that is. Don't take it personally. (Oh, and don't be surprised when, months down the line, he has no clue you've just changed your hair.)
Don't expect him to get hints Have a crush on him? You may have to put it out there, because men aren't as skilled at women at reading subtle emotional cues........

This should be good. lol
I liked the PBS special on Brain Sex, where a doctor measured the ratio of the index and fourth fingers and figured out who would win a race (and who would come in second, third, and so-on), and who would do well on a task with heavy machinery—he picked out the only woman who would do so in the group. It was impressive.
hehe that’s pretty good! A very vivid and accurate description.
Sometimes FR can be my nothing box...
It's true, women are just more sophisticated than men. Look at advertising.
To sell a product to a man, you say "buy this product, and you'll get Swedish bikini models."
To sell a product to the far more sophisticated woman, you must say "buy this product, and you'll be a Swedish bikini model."
really? i never would have noticed. /sarc>
I read both the male and female brain articles.
The way they were written, the male brain is the one that is wrong because it isn’t like the female brain. The tone of the articles were the male brain has deficiencies that must be compensated for. When it came to the female brain article, nothing was wrong about it, it had a bunch of warnings and notes about men having to realize the differences and make adjustments.
The more mature man doesn’t fall for those ads.
He knows he really can’t get the bikini gals and they would want nothing to do with him. that ain’t fun when it ain’t real.
My dad is getting older. We were talking on the phone and he made some comment and I told him he sounded like a woman (not to be mean, we have a good sense of humor).
I said, ‘The next thing you’re going to tell me is that it’s not what I said, it’s how I said it.” He started laughing.
thank you I need to go buy more Gillete brand shaving cream
Hulk destroy puny scientists....
Seriously, wasn’t it Camille Paglia (sp) that said everytime she saw a bridge it made her realize the importance of men?
Here’s my favorite advertising phenomenon. It seems that in any depiction of a man and a woman, the woman has it all together, and the man is an incompetent, clumsy, blubbering fool. The woman knows about the product and why it’s so obviously indespensible to living a civilized life, and the man is a clueless moron who may just start chewing a leather shoe for entertainment value at any moment.
My 13 y/o son recognizes this too. He’s becoming cynical about TV advertising. This is a good thing.
My wife can remember what she ate on November 23, 1983...I do not remeber what I ate at 2:00 today
Amazing. I can’t remember what you ate at 2:00 today either!
Fun ping
Crap like this is another good reason Hillary Clinton must never get her meaty hands on the levers of power.
She also said that college kids should be made to consider every time they flushed a toilet of the benefits of capitalism.
But I still don’t like her.
