Interesting find.
About 13,000 years ago, the glaciers began slowly melting and retreating north. As plants regrew, animals migrated north again. Then, large animals suddenly went extinct, for reasons scientists can't explain.
There's no evidence that Pleistocene horses migrated further north than southern Ohio and western Virginia, putting Ontario out of their range.
If the teeth do come from an ancient horse and not a 19th-century farm animal, it would be a significant find, showing the horse ranged further than archeologists believe. Proving it is the tough part.
How about Pack animals and wagon trains of Prehistoric Man?
I know -- no wheels. But they had sleds; so following the ice north ???
I am still surprised at the hubris of our supposed Wise Men, who think that Mankind only has history that is documented in some known fashion.
