A kite surfer gets taken out of the ocean and gets lifted by the wind and crashed and gets seriously injured and is rushed to the hospital.

What was this guy thinking? I don't think it takes much sense to know you do not strap yourself to a kite when there is a tropical storm overhead. I hope he wins the 2008 Darwin award for all that it stands for.

A few years ago there is footage of a kite surfer who got caught in a vortex. It took him up about 120-200 feet. He made it back down okay though.
