What was this guy thinking? I don't think it takes much sense to know you do not strap yourself to a kite when there is a tropical storm overhead. I hope he wins the 2008 Darwin award for all that it stands for.

A few years ago there is footage of a kite surfer who got caught in a vortex. It took him up about 120-200 feet. He made it back down okay though.
