I own a mod. 34 four inch revolver and its a good shooter. I didn’t think the 34 was considered a kit gun...

most fun i've had with a rimfire, .32 short flobert.
thing shoots a bullet so slow you could almost catch it barehanded. however it'll knock a squirrel right out of a tree. won't break the skin, but it'll hit the ground dead.
my favourite .22lr:
norinco jw 15. paid right around $100 for it, thing groups better than any other .22 i've ever shot.

I loved my marlin model 60.
with the 18 round semi-auto, people thought I was shooting a machine gun. LMBO!
Shooting the cheap spray paint cans from the cheapie leftovers store was sure fun as a kid.

The only rimfire we have is the wife's Ruger 10/22 plinker. Lot's of fun considering the relatively low cost of .22LR ammo.

I’ve bought each of my grandchildren an old Remington Model 514 single shot bolt action as their first gun. Pretty darned foolproof and extremely accurate.

I have a Henry AR-7 survival rifle that shoots .22 LR only but is a great varmint gun. I use it a lot, to rid myself of ground hogs, rabbits & squirrels, ect....
with NO recoil and is very light weight so my daughter is learning to shoot it too!

I picked up a Mossberg Model 44 from the CMP a few years ago for the princely sum of $75. It is a bolt action, magazine fed rifle and it is very accurate.

"
Ruger series of autoloaders. From the Mark I to the 22/45, these are just workhorse handguns. These can take thousands of rounds. Take down is difficult, and in some cases even harder to put back together,"
When my hunting and shooting Buddy died, he bequeathed me all his firearms, and related accessories.
I knew he had taken both his Ruger MK1, and MK2 down completely, but didn't realize he hadn't put them back together!
I'm having one heck of a time figuring out what goes where! Usually, if I take something apart it's no problemo... however, here sits two perfectly good pistols that I'm afraid I'll have to enlist a smitty to do good by them! That or I'm going to have to get schematics from the factory!

MY favorite .22 is my AM-180 and my Ruger 10/22 with a John Norrell trigger pack. We have massacred hundreds of cottomouths (agkistrodon picusvous (sp)) on the minnow farms east of Little Rock.
When we go out at night, we put on our AN/PVS-14 on a rail mount, get a rabbit call, and wait for the coyotes to show up. Every once in a while , AR G&F come out and play with us (and make sure our depredation permit is valid) ;)
Increasingly, we are seeing LEA in Arkansas purchase .22 LR for taking out lights for SWAT team, and dispatching dangerous animals in the county.
All hail the .22 LR! (suppressed/FA)
