Too Much Volleyball, Not Enough Olympics

I tried to watch the Olympics but am I the only one that is sick of Beach Volleyball? This makes four nights now that they have shown the same women's duo and I know more about them than all other athletes (except Phelps). I give up and I guess politics is not the only thing NBC can ruin.

Olympic boxing (or any sport where judges have the final call) is corrupt to the core.

And the diving makes no sense whatsoever. How do you score a dive? When I dive, I just hold my nose and fall to the water below, trying to make as big a splash as I can. They should give you MORE points for making a big splash. For this is a manly way to dive. If I'm going to dive, I want to make as big a splash as possible and make all the girls in the front seats wet - just like Shamu the whale (who is cool). Maybe one of the judges will throw me a fish. I like fish.

And if I ever see male synchronized diving appear again on my TV screen, I'm cancelling my satellite service, dashing my HD screen to bits with a sledgehammer, and taking up a new life as an Amish farmer.

If that doesn't work I'll gore my eyes out with a red-hot steak knife.

That is why I tivo everything, then fast forward it. The marathon lasted less than 10 minutes for me.

I don't have to watch the commercials, athlete profiles or crappy events.

but once in a while I want to see some death and destruction (boxing, basketball)

I'm more sick of boxing than volleyball. Universal HD has shown almost nothing but boxing for the last 1-1/2 weeks.

My girlfriend and I watched the baseball game this week. I kissed her between the strikes; she kissed me between the balls.
