Starting two days ago telemarketers began to call my cell phone.
They're calling from the number 909-842-9166 and 901-842-9167
They're also calling from Unknown numbers sometimes.
If I answer they'll tell me I've won a free gas card or something.
They're calling about ten times a day.
When I ask them to stop calling (it's usually an Indian person)
The woman laughed and goes "No no. Haha. We call again. Bye bye."
I looked this up on the internet and it appears that a telemarketing company is paying another company to disguise it's number.
I called Sprint and sprint says there is no way to block the number.
Many other people on the Internet are having the same problem.
Who do I contact? It looks like the company Digicom is involved in this somehow.
I’m just not answering when the number comes up.
But it’s coming up at different numbers now.
Just hang up immediately on them.
Why and HOW would a company profit from continually calling someone who does not want to be called?
Wouldn’t that be a waste of time?
If I don’t recognize the area code, I ignore it. They can leave a voicemail (but they never do).
I’ve gotten a few of these types of calls in the past few months. I just ignore them.
My mom had a similiar situation.
She told the guy she wasn’t interested and he immediately called back three times.
On the third time he called back he cussed her out.
“(it’s usually an Indian person)”
Casino, or tech support??
Sorry, I could not resist.....
Tech support lol
I don’t care if they call and it’s on the landline.
But if I answer and it’s on the cell phone that costs me minutes.
They call all hours of the day and night.
They’ve called as late as midnight.

Invite your cousin Vinny over and have him try to have “phone relations” with them.
I’ve been getting a call on my cell phone about extending the warranty on my car. It is very annoying to get those calls, but even more when it’s my cell phone since not that many people have my cell phone number. Even more, I’ve gotten a call when I was on the freeway and I answered thinking it could be my husband (couldn’t look at the screen to see who was calling since i only have so much time to answer before it goes to voice mail). I even stayed on the line, told them I wanted the extended warranty, but once I asked who was calling me, they hung up on me.
How do these people get your cell phone number, is what I would like to know.
I was under the impression that it was illegal for a telemarketer to call a cellphone.
I don’t answer calls from unknown numbers. But if you must, try this:

(caution, empty bladder before listening)
Oh my gosh that was GREAT!!!!!
I think it is illegal. But since this one company uses another to disguise the numbers I’m not sure there’s a way to trace it.
If you haven’t already, you could list with the ‘do not call’ list.
I get occasional automated marketing. They don’t identity themselves and ‘give me the opportunity’ to have number removed from their list (which they don’t do).
One is for a credit card. Another is for an auto warranty.
I just hang up.
Otherwise, the donotcall seems to have cut down on the number of unwanted calls.

I recently got a cell phone. I got a call from an Oklahoma City number. Google says it is listed for some state office in OKC, but Google also has numerous lists that have it as a ‘bad’ number. When it calls, it doesn’t answer. The phone rings, and their is dead silence. If one answers it, one gets charged for minute. No one seems to know whether it is a scam or just some glitch in the cellular system.
Ah, them. Impalement.
