FR Gun Club - Friday Gun Porn- Ugly Guns
August 15, 2008 | Shooter 2.5

Posted on 08/15/2008 5:07:30 AM PDT by Shooter 2.5

Since we posted some great looking firearms, I thought it would be fun to post some of the ugliest guns in history. That's my opinion, of course. Post some of the ones you think just didn't make the grade in the looks department.

Here we go. Two of the not pretty guns I can think of. One from the past and one from the present day. Next week: favorite movie guns.

I don’t know how to post pictures here but I have a Tanfoglio Single Action .22LR Revolver that is pretty darned ugly.

You can trust me on this one.

Some people think these are ugly:

Ruger Bisley SA Revolver

That Spanish pistol would be classified as a ‘machine gun’ since one pull of the trigger results in more than one shot being fired (three shots out of three barrels.)

Not very obscure, but how about a C96 Broomhandle Mauser?

Well, SA revolvers DO look better without the adjustable sights, but ugly?

I don’t think so.

Is it too obvious to mention Hi-Point?

I don’t recall seeing an ugly gun by design. Unusual and weird, yes. But that doesn’t make it ugly. What is ugly is finding a gun covered in rust.

This one's pretty homely. Not even lipstick and a tramp stamp could make it attractive.

I’ve heard that a Phased Plasma Rifle in a 40 Watt range is a pretty ugly piece of equipment. It is, however, very effective.

Some guys can’t stand the Bisleys for some reason. They’re kind of odd looking, but great shooters, especially for heavy recoiling cartridges. They grow on you if you like to shoot them. Pretty soon the normal Blackhawk grip looks proportionally too small to the eye.
