PAUL NEWMAN has told his family he wants to die at home, according to new US reports.
The Oscar-winning actor has completed his chemotherapy but has told his family he has weeks to live.
Newman was recently pictured leaving the Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York in a wheelchair and reports say that he wants to be with wife JOANNE WOODWARD and his daughters in his final weeks.
He didn't want to die in the hospital, said a close family friend. Joanne and his daughters are beside themselves with grief.
It was reported that the star of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid has been putting his affairs in order.
The source, described as a 'close family friend' said that the star who co-owns a motor racing team and has his own salad dressing brand had spent the past few weeks getting his affairs in order.

can we just leave this man alone......please.....May God take care of him and his family...
I admire the fact that he defeated Hollywood odds and stayed married to the same wife for 50 years.
If some guy wants to cash in on his celebrity to donate to charity, then good for him.
I think we should wait until he dies and question his motives and those of the people who buy the food. That's a classy thing to do.
“Feel bad for him, but respect his decision. Liked his work hated his politics. Godspeed
Amen to that.
“Good for Him now pass the salad dressing please”
That’s reasonably crass. Newman was a good actor, gave away tons of his money to charity and even though you may not agree with his political views, he was a good man. Even stayed married to the same woman all of his life. Plus I do like his lowfat Italian Dressing, and his original dressing. They taste good. His balsamic vinaigrette is good too. So, in the best sense of the word, not a snide one, I would love to have the salad dressing passed my way. My best wishes to Paul Newman and his family. I feel sorry for his wife; she has a great burden to bear right now. Godspeed, JoAnne.
There was a Col. Sanders
Several years ago, I was in a checkout line at the Haymarket in Westport; this guy who was in front of me turned around and looked at me while we waited. My jaw dropped ... considerably and obviously. Newman’s eyes were like blue laser beams. I was dumbstruck. I’m sure I made him uncomfortable, but for those seconds, I couldn’t stop staring.
He said, “Yes, they are that blue.”
I said, “Carry on.”
It was such a dumb thing for me to say ... but that’s my Paul Newman story.
Newman is going to leave behind a large body of excellent cinema, an adoring wife, a grateful community [Westport Playhouse,et al], and millions to charity.
To quote my own dad on his deathbed, “In the end, only kindness matters.”
failure to communicate!
Didn’t like his political views but I like his various salad dressings and my favorite movie, “Cool Hand Luke”. Got the DVD at home.
Paul Newman was cast with some great actors and actresses.
He had a great talent and a perfect face.
Strother Martin, another favorite actor.
Fort Apache the Bronx? I had forgot about that one. I have not seen it in years but I loved it.
Slap Shot!!!
Cancer is hideous. It’s difficult to see it take someone loved or even just familiar. God be with him and his family.
May his fans take a moment to do something kind for a cancer patient’s family that they actually know.
