Former "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" actress Eliza Dushku has upset animal rights activists after she revealed she hunts elk and deer.
The actress proudly showed off her bow and arrow skills on late-night talk show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Wednesday and boasted about killing a deer in Oklahoma last Christmas.
She also revealed she was hunting for elk in Colorado when she landed her role in the upcoming TV series "Dollhouse."
Realizing the studio audience had turned on her over her Bambi-killing antics, Dushku joked, "My mother called me herself and said, 'You're a liberal from New England, what the 'f' are you doing in Oklahoma shooting things."
And when Kimmel took the actress to task for her hunting boasts, she defended her actions by stating, "When you're in a relationship with somebody you have to, like, experience things that they do."
She added, "A lot of people eat meat ... and I eat what I kill."

A spokeswoman for [PETA] says, "Slaying bloodthirsty vampires on 'Buffy' is brave, but slaying innocent animals where they live and raise their families is cowardly and cruel.
"Eliza is sorely out of step with the rest of the country; 95 percent of Americans oppose hunting."

Colorado Elk...yum!
Just saw her in the movie Bottle Shock. Not a bad movie.
“95 percent of Americans oppose hunting.”
Have to call BS on this one.
Way to go, Elisha.
Proud NRA member and lifelong hunter here.
Huh? Is that her twist on, say, "95% of Americans have never hunted"? Or maybe "95% of statistics are made up on the spot"? Gawd libs are stupid.
So does Ron Paul!

Have to call BS on this one.
Add Eliza Dushku Angers Fans After Revealing Her Love For Hunting
Just scanned the consesus on actual fan sites and the verdict appears to be "Dark-eyed girl bow-hunters are hot" (who knew)
I don’t normally watch Kimmel, but I just happened to click by when she was on and it surprised me that she went hunting...especially bow and arrow knowing her mom is a VERY hard core nutty liberal in Boston...I think she is a professor or something?
I believe Dushku is dating Brad Penny, Pitcher from the LA Dodgers who is from Oklahoma.
You could tell Eliza had “really” done it too because she was a good shot.
It makes you wonder, how liberal can you really be in your heart, so to speak, if you are willing to go kill a deer or elk with a bow and arrow?
Ironically Sarah Michelle Gellar made some comments about being pro gun a good while back but I have forgotten the details of it. Her and Freddy Prinze are supposedly conservatives...but who really knows?
LOL...uuhhhh...never been to Pennsylvania I suppose!
Then 95% of Americans can starve when the economy collapses. You’re right, it’s just a liberal lie.
I don’t hunt. I’m not against it. I’d just rather buy a steak than clear a deer. Yup, I’m just lazy!
But I think that I could be convinced to make the effort if she was my “Huntin Buddy” (hopefully with benefits! You know, like with her cleaning the deer!)
Seriously though... That upcoming TV show, “The Dollhouse” is one I’m going to be watching. If history is our guide, and it’s shown on Fox, then it will be an awesome show, with the episodes shown out of order - the pilot episode shown shortly before the show is canceled - about the 9th episode.
And I’m sure that it will be canceled if it’s good. After all, it’s a Joss Wheeden show!

She meant 95% of her quear friends oppose hunting. The fascist liberals should get off their high horse and stop acting like they have morals. In the backward mind of a liberal you can kill unborn babies by the thousands and still think you are morally superior to a person who hunts deer. Will the douchebags agree to a ban on abortion if more than 50% of Americans oppose it?
YUM..... a woman who hunts..... now that’s exciting. :^)
Yup. Just put a tofu and sprouts salad out in the middle of a snare on any liberal arts college campus, kick back on a treestand with a six pack and wait 10 minutes.
Rules are a good thing.
