There are over 1.3 billion Chinese, or 4 times as many as Americans. They have much less usable land and therefore the population density in inhabitable areas is much more than the U.S. It would definitely make for a different kind of government, especially for a people who have very little tradition of freedom. I would like to visit China one day and get a feel for the “real China”. I think it would be really interesting.

Total visual extravaganza !!! Eye candy ... and what they’ve done has been many times accomplished in their vignettes with huge numbers of people = 15,000 total for these ceremonies! And no repeats. Amazing ! Staggering ! Probably never seen before on such a scale ... and I daresay, hard to believe it could be equalled again.

Yes! And no one wants it here but Daley (Chicago’s mayor). He wanted the equestrian events held in some suburb and they made such a stink that they had to find another proposed venue. hehehehee
