Sarkozy threatens boycott of Beijing Olympic Games opening ceremony

A couple of monthes ago, Sarkozy was loudly beating his chest and shaking his finger at the Chicoms, "threatening" to boycott the opening games if they didn't clean up their act and cease their human rights abuses. Of course the Chicoms did absolutely nothing, but Sarkozy, being typically French, appears to have tucked his tail between his legs and surrendered to the "world community". Wouldn't want to offend his buddies the red Chinese! What a guy! For future reference, we now know just how tough Sarkozy is when he "threatens" dictators. Can't even sit out a sports ceremony. I'm sure Iran is really scared of this guy. Perhaps Sarkozy is too busy trying to suck up his preferred candidate in the 2008 U.S. Presidential elction, Barack Obama. You won't see him fawn over McCain like this, that's for sure. Sarko looks happy as a school girl!

Sarkozy: Obama's my pal! -- Sarkozy added that an Obama victory "would validate" his strategy of reconcilation with the United States.

================================================

Ironically, the female chancellor of Germany seems to have more balls than Sarkozy or President Bush. She also "threatened" to boycott the opening ceremony of the Olympics if the Chicoms didn't cease and deist their human rights abuses -- and then ACTUALLY FOLLOWED THROUGH AND DID IT. Angela Merkel's seat was empty at the opening of the 2008 olympics ceremony.

A "world leader" who actually has the spine to do what they say. Imagine that.
