“Moreover, the NCAA recently got flak from some newspapers for banning championship games in South Carolina and Mississippi, but not in Alabama, which also has Confederate regalia as part of its official symbols.”
What thought-policing scum. Mississippi had a REFERENDUM on that flag or the PC-flag, and the 1898 (?) flag won.
Georgia has apparently enacted a slightly modified CSA 1st national flag as the state flag as well.
The flag is not a racist flag — but a synbol of STATE RIGHTS!! The south went to war to protect their rights, not to keep slaves, but to keep the federal government from getting to big.
When I see the stars and bars I’m reminded of an Confederate Army that surrendered during a major battle to a regiment with practically no bullets.
Losers.
Ahhhh...yesterday’s version of the story had this flag flying at the intersection of I-4 and I-10...except that the two do not meet...I-4 and I-75 sounds more like it...
Boooooo!!!!
One nation, one flag. Put it on bumpstickers if one must, but as for flying it in public spaces - no way. Take it down.
.....flying the Stars and Bars big and open like that is not about states rights or slavery or Confederate sacrifice....I’ll tell you what it’s about....it’s about white resistance, and it’s another little milestone on the road to the coming Civil War...the first one was extremely violent but not particularly vicious....very little torture or mutilation of the dead...primarily because each side recognised the other as co-ethnics....the next one will be all out race war and will be terrible beyond belief....every time LaRaza demands return of “their” land, every time a Confederate flag goes up in public, every time a black public figure mentions reparations, think: race war is coming.
Stonewalls, whose g-grandfather served in Co G/3rd Fla Inf, was captured at Chickamauga, spent two years imprisoned at Camp Douglas in Chicago, and walked 1000 miles home in 1865 rather than take the loyalty oath and get a Union railroad pass.
Damn them and damn that flag!
There’s a nice one on I-65 in Alabama as well, on the south-bound side around mile marker 194 (between Montgomery and Birmingham).

I fear for my country. We’ve become a nation of milquetoast whiners too easily offended. We will not persevere.
