We got our first torrential rain in weeks in the northern suburbs of Houston an hour ago.

Not sure if it is related to the storm. But up until yesterday the local forecasts were for no rain as far as the eye can see.

It might be marginally related to the storm environment, but probably not so much to the storm itself.

So far it’s behaving rather well, going to need to see better organization before any rapid intensification is possible.

Hopefully it will only get upwards of minimal hurricane and provide some needed rain.
