Barnes & Noble Hides Corsi’s “The Obama Nation” at the Back of Store
opinion | 8-1-2008 | brianbaldwin

I went to purchase my copy of the just released “The Obama Nation” (by Jerome R. Corsi, PH.D.) – “Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality” at a San Francisco Bay Area Barnes & Noble book store. The book is all the buzz on talk radio, and even among the Leftist media which hates America and which is currently supervising the election campaign for Obama. The is no question, the book is going to be a top seller.

This Barnes & Nobles has a New Releases / Just Arrivals section which is always prominently displayed when you walk into the store. In fact, they have several such displays for the latest releases.

The book was no where to be found.

There were, of course, other Obama books. All of them authored by leftists.

I searched around.

I finally found the book in the back of the store, in the political science / current affairs section.

There was only one copy.

This section is organized alphabetically, using the last name of the author and not by the title.

The book, and there was only one, was shelved with the back binding out, and not with the front cover displayed. And, unless you knew the specific author, you would not have found it. In fact, if you were simply browsing for books of interest on Obama, you certainly would have never of found this book – you would have had to have been specifically looking for it, and you would have had to have know the author’s last name.

Since I purchased the only copy, there will be no copies available on the floor of the store until they replace the copy I had purchased.

The Barnes & Noble books stores in the bay area, this one in particular, does this every single time a conservative, or pro-American – in other words anything that isn’t Leftist or partly-line Democratic – is released.

These people are pigs. Those who are managing this store, they do this for political reasons.

If they could, they would not even allow free speech. We would be living in a Hugo Chavez dictatorship. We would be under a Hugo Chaves “militia”, which would replace our military. The militia would be political police, it’s cadre socialist pigs.

Didn’t Obama say, that he wants to replace our military with a militia?

I wonder what would be the crime, the penalty, for possessing such a book?

You’re right. I would have asked them who made them the book police, told them I wouldn’t be back and walked out.

Booksellers are allowed to do that. We are allowed to patronize other booksellers. That’s called Capitalism.

Of course they are allowed to do that, no one has said they aren’t. But customers are allowed to complain, and that was what I suggested.

I talk to one of the managers at the local BN. He says all the ordering comes out of New York but they can always selectively order in addition.

The author is a Harvard Political Science
PHD grad. As stated on Mark Levin’s show
last night heavily footnoted (700+), well
researched!

Went to the B&N website. Wanted to submit a review on “Obama Nation”, relating to how how B&N stores seem to be refusing to stock or display it, but their site gives me an error message about browser settings. Another side of the same liberal-protective tactic?

At our local Barnes and Noble it was on the first table inside teh door. But then I’m lucky to live in an area with more conservatives than other parts of SoCal.

I will have to go out and buy the book. I bet its going to be a best seller. Does he deal with the issue of campaign contributions? I know there was another thread dealing with donations to Obama from Rafah,GA. yes there is no Rafah GA but there is a Rafah in the Gaza strip in Israel. Hmmm How did the Obama Campaign take donations from the Middle east? When will the Federal Election Commission take a look at this on their own web site!

I walked into a Borders book store in Madison, Wisconsin shortly before the 2004 election. They might as well have posted a Kerry Headquarters sign outside the store there were so much anti-Bush literature plastered around the store.

If I recall correctly, Freepers had the same problem when trying to find “Fit for Command”.

You are correct about “Unfit for Command” being hidden, as I had it ordered through amazon.com for weeks. I waited and waited. I found the book at either Kroger’s or Walmart.

There is, in my opinion, an attempt to censure or hide certain books. I will check amazon.com. May be same same?

Andy Martin’s “Obama: The Man Behind The Mask” is similiarly unavailable on Amazon.com now. But that may be that it had an initial small printing and is selling well.

Corsi’s “The Obama Nation” is said to be available on Amazon.

People who work in bookstores and hide books show their lack of education, while they believe they are showing their superiority to the bookbuyer.
