Goodness gracious...I missed this yesterday and is it just precious, Lori...I love it! I wasn’t on much yesterday!
Actually, I think Jack said they arrived today. He had them at the office and I was leaving as he came in the door. I had a healing service to conduct. Turned out to be a dozen people to anoint and lay on hands. This took place at a lodge and afterward they provided supper. I ate too much, especially the cream puffs. Anyway, I forgot to check my mail and didn’t think of it until you mentioned the DVDs.
Hot hot hot!
Love your music.
Las Vegas has always been a place of secrets.
They still find bodies in the desert, some from the old mafia days and some newer ones.
In Las Vegas, you will hear the old timers say, that there was not as much crime, when the mafia ran the town and many say they want it back.
If it were all adults wanting a vacation, I would go to Laughlin, NV. It is 100 miles from Las Vegas, smaller and cleaner.
Scott said a couple weeks ago that they had special rates at the Riverside, $15.00 a night.
Several of the Laughlin casinos will do the special rates, when they are not pulling enough visitors, and since gas went so high, none of them are.
Edgewater, Riverside and Twin Palms all over the cheap rentals, but usually it is between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
I worked at Twin Palms, when it was Gold River and we have offered rooms for as low as $5.00 a night, until Christmas day and then it goes up, by New Years Eve, it is about $1,000 per night and most of the rooms are booked a year ahead for New Years.
LOL, I worked in hotel reservations.
They have live stage in Laughlin, but I am not up to date on who or when they will be there next.
One of the Las Vegas radio stations is kdwn.com, you can listen on the internet, they have almost daily school shootings, during the school year.
I have found the internet police scanners for San Diego, Denver and Las Vegas, LOL and several other towns, and listen to them more hours than I do the regular radio.
All the towns, investigate important crimes, that we never find in the main stream news.
scan san diego.net is a good example, one night they had a couple of guys attempt to kill a cop.
The Police Officers, the K-9 dog teams and the Police helicopter, worked together, chasing them, for hours, finally into a canyon.
It was exciting, but more importantly well done by the police department.
The news report said it all in two small paragraphs, something like “and 2 were arrested, after being chased”.....
But, I know that some are destined to become your very most favorite photos, like the one of the water bottle on the pedestal at the studio. LOL. Hey, I sent them ALL because you said you wanted them all.
Thank you. MEG found that hummingbird photo and I grabbed it thinking it would make a nice graphic. ;-)
The gangs of today, are not just fighting each other, they now hit anyone they see and feel like attacking.
San Diego gangs do fight each other, but so many of them today are angry at the world, that they attack the world.
And I am amazed at the females doing the dirty work, recently in Las Vegas and Denver, the hold ups in stores and on the streets, have the female with the gun in hand.
From my research since 9-11, I find that the gangs are an extension of the terrorists and follow the same game plans.
Sorry, the war on terror is never far from my mind.
Lovely photo, could be Lake Mead at Pierce Landing.
That is the western entrance to the Grand Canyon.
I imagine the gas prices really are hurting the casinos, actually it's hurting just about everything and everywhere. I can't believe the prices in the supermarket for a loaf of bread!
I need to run and fix dinner. It's getting to be about that time. TTYL!
Yes, I wanted them all. Thank you, and tell JK that I won’t be able to tell the difference between raw & balanced photos, so he has nothing to be embarrassed about. I will love the pictures. I would love to have his wide angle lense. In fact, son loved it so much he bought one for his self.
Use anything you find useful..I love to see what you do!
Well, you might not, but others definitely will see the difference. LOL.
So he liked that wide angle lens, huh? Almost all the photos JK took on this trip have curved edges. We vacationed in the land weird shaped rooms. LOL
Gotta go and fix dinner. TTYL, Nan! HUGS!!!
Finally I found out how to bookmark.<<<
LOL, so did I......but so often it is not there, when I go back and also now that the years have flown past, I can’t see the bookmarks........
My blessing was when Yahoo went to unlimited size on their email storage, now I send it to me at Yahoo, instead of printing it.
Yahoo emails have been good to me, I heard on the radio to open an account at a Yahoo type place, for junk mail, before I ever dreamed of being on the internet.
Then a friend traded me his computer, for my cream separator and a black powder rifle and hooked me into the internet, he even set up my first Yahoo email account..........And it took me a long time to see what was so great about it.
In those days, it was “you are going to get rich on the internet” and being me, I could not see how you got rich, when there was no reason for being.........OK, I was wrong on EBay, but not on all of the companies of the 1990’s.
Then I found Yahoo Groups and started learning, wanted to do it all, so printed all I could find on soapmaking, papermaking, and every other thing that caught my eye.
Now my family comes and suggests that I throw out the boxes of printed stuff.
And I do not, I will have the last laugh and all my junk on d-day.
I think Laughlin has about a dozen casinos now.
I am 25 miles from them and never go any more.
They are hurting, most employees are on 4 day weeks and many were let go.
I have been using the bread making machine, always hated store bought bread.
My mind does not take in the prices of today, I do not know how the folks with a family can keep feeding them.
Hahaha. We are funny old grannies. The internet does expand our horizons and keeps us abreat of the ways of the world. I encourage all “seasoned citizens” to get a computer. It keeps them from being lonely.
Yeah, you’re at dinner time and I’m pooped and ready for bed. Another reason for you to move to Eastern time zone. I’m checking out and in....to bed.
Yep, talk to you later.
sheesh...abreat=abreast (as in up to date).
I just sang the National Anthem here..I won’t say for whom...as you are 2 hours behind.
