Despite the fact we live in the same city, I don’t know Laura. Judging by her copyright date, I presume she lost her father before 9/11. Your comments were heartfelt.

So sweet and touching; the poem and the beautiful lady at the sewing machine. It made me cry. Since my mom passed away, I cry at the drop of a hat. :-(

Since my mom passed away, I cry at the drop of a hat. :-(

I understand, Lori! I always tear up (really) in the Hallmark card commercials! And when I was looking at that picture, it reminded me of my sweet mother. She sewed all her life and was a talented lady. She made all my evening gowns during high school. I would draw a picture of what I wanted and she would get a pattern and do her thing on it to make it like I wanted. I always wanted a 'store bought' evening gown, but all my friends said they were jealous of my original gowns. When I look back, I realize how beautiful they truly were!

Re: your rain. My brother lives in Columbus, GA and they are on a water restriction now for watering outside, etc.

Oh, jaycee, that is so special that you have such wonderful memories of your talented mother. Sounds as though you were blessed with a loving and giving mother. I was too. I never knew one day on this earth that I did not feel love from her.
