Thank you so much, Taj! Fernando Ortega has a pure, beautiful voice! And the presentation was perfect!

Here is another voice I love - Nana Mouskouri - Amazing Grace:

Ah, thank you for the compliment, KM! (You are SO sweet!)

Here is a picture I have saved, just for you, to say goodnight:

Oh, I love that! It looks just like one of my jays!

I was glad to help out, Amy. But the truth is, Billie did most of the work around here. I used some graphics I already had made. She posted some gorgeous, custom made, brand new graphics this past week.

I understand completely how tiring a "vacation" can be. LOL. And it's always nice to come back home. Hope you made some good memories while you were gone. :-)

By the way, Nan made a wonderful "Banana Split Pie" while we were visiting her and she was kind enough to post the recipe a couple day ago. It's really easy. I have one "setting up" in the refrigerator now. Can't wait to dig into it. Maybe I will take a photo of it after I get it garnished. (Have you made your pie yet, jaycee?)

Glad you are home, safe and sound, Amy. I sure missed your smilin' face around here.

LOL. I was surfing to catch up, laughing at jaycee’s blue cheese on watermelon; delighting in all the plans for banana split pies, and scrolled by that picture thinking; that looks just like my church. It sure is a pretty little church isn’t it? Our missionary from China and his wife were there this morning to report on their work. It was a very meaningful service. He is the younger brother to one of our beloved members who passed away. I’ll have to relate later how they are able to witness to the Chinese without being jailed.

You know, Billie, I actually do not remember that graphic. Old age is not for wimps. The graphic reminds me of all the dear saints of God whose hands I’ve held as they passed from this earthly realm. There is something healing about the human touch though. We are going to have a healing/anointing service Tuesday evening for a man who had a stroke and is having trouble recovering. Thanks for reminding me how much we depend on our fellow human beings for comfort.

Hope your pie turns out good. The one I made Friday was delish. I think there is one slice left. Can’t have that, must go get it for midnight snack (well, more like 2 a.m. snack). I hate it that I have to sit up so late in order to have any time here at all.

Oh, Nan.....what did I do wrong??? My Cool Whip melted on top! I put the pie in the refrigerator immediately after spreading on the Cool Whip, but it turned into the consistency of soup and ran off the top. It was a MESS! JK said he didn't care if he had to drink it with a straw....LOL. It actually tastes really good, it just looks a mess. Not at all pretty like yours.

I have never liked using Cool Whip in a recipe, it never does what I want it to do. Next time I will use whipped cream and just forget the Cool Whip. But, the pie tastes great. I am just glad I didn't make it for company. It didn't even turn out looking like a pie. LOL.

It sure is a pretty little church isn’t it?

It certainly is! And if it be God's Will, I may come back to West Virginia AGAIN. Next time I will try to plan our visit so that we can be there on a Sunday so we can attend your pretty little church and hear your sermon. I would so love that! :-)

Oh no! You did use the instant Jello pudding mix, right? No heat involved? I can’t imagine why the cool whip would melt. I’ve never had that happen. Next time try cooling the pie before putting the cool whip on it. I’ve used cool whip a gazillion times and never has it liquified. LOL, you sound like me. I have the hardest time following a recipe. I always announce my “qualifier”. “I con’t cook.” That way if it fails, my face is saved, and if it turns out I look like a genius. All of my successful attempts have been very easy recipes that look and taste great. One I have used a lot is the angelfood cake split and layered with cherry pie filling and iced with cool whip. It looks wonderful and tastes great, and company goes ooooo and ahhhhh and I pat a little flour on my face and say, “It was nothing, really.”

Oh, that was soooo cute! I enjoyed that. My mom had a Silky that I actually think was more Yorkie than Silky. He looked just like those two except his tail was long and fringed.

When an elderly friend of mine was having Hospice care, one of her friends came to visit. She brought a wonderfully fragrant lotion with her, and pulled back the sheets off my friend’s feet. She gently massaged the lotion onto Val’s feet, praying, and quoting scripture. It was a very humbling experience to witness.

YES!! I used the instant pudding and I chilled it really well before I put the Cool Whip on the top. I don't know what happened, but this isn't the first time that Cool Whip has not preformed well for me. I should have known better and used Whipped Cream to begin with.

Yes, I remember the first thing you told me when you found out I was coming to visit...."I don't cook". Then you proceeded to make some really good desserts - and your cornbread was really good too! LOL.

Now, those are “grand-yorkies” to be proud of!!

They look so much like my little furry kid!! The one on the left would ‘speak’ - the one on the right didn’t, and they both got a treat from ‘mom’. Such a deal! LOL!

Thank you for posting that for all of us! They look so much like my yorkie! (No sissy bows for her - or them!)

I am going to bed. I am exhausted and depressed from that awful pie making experience. LOL.

I was even going to photograph my beautiful creation and share it here at Amy’s Place....yeah right! Maybe the next one. Fortunately, I usually don’t make the same mistake twice. The next one will come out better. LOL

Well, I am now enjoying the last slice of pie. I don't think I will be making another for some time. I really must lose the 8 lbs that I've gained over the summer.

Oh, how I wish you and JK would make a return trip to WV. In fact, I wish you would move here. You best hurry if you want to hear me preach. I really am going to retire for real one of these days.

I really must finish the pie and get to bed. Going to help son clean the studio tomorrow. Yikes! Nighty night. Loveya.

Thank you for posting the horse, it is a true work of art.

Even knowing what it is made of, it is still amazing, so proud and high stepping.
