Because he is more metrosexual than masculine- the latter being the defining characteristic of the original Bond or two.

Because Craig himself has stated it is time for Bond to have a homosexual relationship on screen.

How's that?

Well, I was unaware of that. Sad.

I know he is playing a bi-sexual Roman Emperor, and I’m not happy with that, but if he shows up as a Bi Bond...it will be bye-bye Bond for me.

I think that would kill off the Bond series, or at least, it will become a run of the mill PC thriller.
