Your opinion is obvious. I was told long ago that if we had known as much about alcohol as we do today, probation would have never been done away with. I hate to bust your bubble but there are meny health reasons not to use the drug. The main one for me is that the person smoking this crap always gets blasted,(drunk on his ass) there is no part way. Making pot “legal” wouldn’t do a damn thing except make more laws against using it. So you think “legal” pot would be OK? “Now that weed is legal, I can get high anywhere!” Wrong. You would be arrested for public intoxication just like booze. “I can grow my own and sell it and make thousands!”. Wrong! Government regulations and TAXES!!! “I can take weed anywhere and light up!” Wrong! Smoking weed in a public place won’t be tolerated. Second hand TH and high would be considered an infringement on others rights not to smoke weed. If public places ban tobacco smoking...don’t you think they would ban pot too?? Smoking pot while driving? Don’t make me laugh!

Also....growing your own may infringe on the territory of the Mexican drug gangs in the US. Making money on pot is their job, not yours. .....I don't think you would want this to happen to you...

I know from your join date that you may be new to this forum and all but one thing you need to know is that a lot of the posters here respond with out reading the articles. It would help if you posted an excerpt, if allowed by copy write laws.

It has not always been this way here, posters used to read articles and not just the headline/title before responding. Now some here just seem to want to be the first to post something back. So, let's legalise them under certain restrictions and conditions:

• Any drug charge cannot be plea-bargained away.
• Conviction of a misdemeanor sets consecutive sentences of one or five years additional.
• Conviction of any felony sets consecutive five to twenty-five years additional.
• No parole or "good time" allowances for any drug related sentence.
• No action taken by a victim against a drug or alcohol using criminal shall invoke any penalties against the victim, either civil or criminal. Any level or type of drug or alcohol in the criminal will invoke this shield to the victim.

I would expect the first six months to be fairly bloody, and the number of criminals will vastly be eradicated, then things will settle and we can get back to having a free society without the over-priced, over-bearing LE/Prison drain on our country.
