Dressed up to the nines and wearing plenty of make-up, Madonna still manages to look pretty sensational for a woman rapidly approaching her half century.
But bare-faced and in short sleeves, she reveals some of the gruelling health and beauty regime behind the glamour.
Madonna, seen holding hands with her daughter Lourdes as they left a Kabbalah centre in New York, wore a T-shirt which exposed the veins standing out on arms subjected to endless workouts.

Nothing wrong with getting old. In fact, I look forward to it. Each day is a gift and there is no promise of a tomorrow. Be grateful for what you have and dwell not upon that which you lack. Each day is a gift. Gratitude is the road of happiness as ingratitude is the road of the unhappy.
Madonna influenced a generation in denial that unrestrained hedonism would take its toll. She looks older than she should at her age.
Agree with you about our youth obsessed culture. No wisdom to be gained from old folks. Throw them under the Obama Bus.

I’d say that chin, nose and cheeks were options added later. Doesn’t look like she came from the factory with those.

those arms are terrifying! I dont think Ive ever seen biceps that look like that That's what I noticed. How does one even get biceps like that? The biceps is supposed to be in front of the humerus bone. Hers is off to the side, leaving the bone devoid of flesh in front. What the heck kind of exercises is she doing that have caused her to be deformed like that?

You hit the nail on the head. She’s an older woman who isn’t posing or wearing makeup. She works out because it’s part of her job to stay extremely fit. We’re so “trained” to judge a woman’s appearance.

It would be one thing if she was all natural at her age...but she's not and it's gross.

Shes always sort of had arms like that. Erm ... no, she didn't:
Madonna in 1985
I for one am not busting the fact that she's gotten older, who hasn't lost youth/beauty as the years have passed? But those photos are frightening, especially the arms and HANDS.
To: Travis McGee
Not only that, compare Jaclyn Smith (who will turn 63 this fall) to Madonna at 49. Doesn’t matter to me if the reason Smith looks good is plastic surgery; there’s something going on here that has nothing to do with scalpels or beauty cream.

Nobody’s joking about the fact that she doesn’t look like a teenybopper anymore, we’re joking about the fact that she’s supposed to be a huge sex symbol and she looks like a train wreck.

BTW, not that I care, but it’s not just “without makeup.” In her most recent video she looks about 25, because they used a digital “airbrushing” process on her, so it wouldn’t look like Justin Timberlake was macking up on his granny.

Well, she's close to 50. With no makeup, she looks like she could be close to 50. That's not surprising.
But it would be interesting to see photos of the stone throwers on this thread.
To: Nea Wood
Two questions:
1. You really think she only looks her age?
2. You really think we’re having a laugh because a 50 year old looks 50? Nothing else to it?
