My brother in Gainesville, Georgia closed down his store for a bit to capture the funeral procession of Corporal Matthew Phillips, on the way to neighboring Cumming.
Matthew was one of the nine killed in Afghanistan not long ago.
May God Bless this fallen soldier and his family. Prayers are with them all. The Patriot Guard Riders are a great group of men and women and what they do is fantastic for these families of fallen heros.
My goodness, how saddening and encouraging at the same time. God bless this soldier and everyone who turned out to show their respect for his burial.
Like the sign at the American Legion in Tampa, FL, says, “Freedom is not free!”
PGR-esque PING.
Thank you for the pictures of this young hero’s last journey. May God bless and comfort his family and loved ones.
Thanks for this posting.
Where do we get such men?
And how do we deserve them?
God bless Cpl. Matthew Phillips and his family.
They have laid a costly sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.
RIP, Corporal Phillips and I can never, ever thank you enough.
