Naomi Watts — Good choice for the Tippi Hedren Role.

The 2005 King Kong has been running on cable — Ms. Watts is a capable actress and obviously very comfortable in the CG environment.

One doesn't "remake" Hitchcock. If the director does not bring an entirely original vision, it will fail in the comparison with the original.

Now, if the modern viewing public has not seen the original, then it's another matter.

Perhaps, instead of remaking Hitchcock's film, they should plan on making a new version of the original De Maure story.
