Tropical Storm Dolly

Newly formed Tropical Storm Dolly over the NW Caribbean Sea near 18.4N 84.2W. 1008 MB at 11AM this morning. Max sustained winds 40KT, gusts 50KT, moving NW at 15KT.

One year I saw one come in around La., rake the coast all the way to florida and then make its way back to La. before going inland.

I just don’t want another surprise like Claudette a couple of years ago. She was supposed to well north and decided to take a left turn as she was passing by.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BROWNSVILLE HAS ISSUED A
* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
SOUTHEASTERN CAMERON COUNTY IN DEEP SOUTH TEXAS.
* UNTIL 1030 PM CDT
* AT 1003 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A TORNADO 5 MILES SOUTHEAST OF PORT ISABEL...MOVING SOUTHWEST AT 35 MPH.
* THE TORNADO WILL BE NEAR PORT ISABEL BY 1005 PM CDT.

miss Brownsville (to the north),,,

Last time Dolly tracked Due North over 30 min. then

back to NE...

Most of the computer models are still tracking south of Brownsville, but it seems a few more of them have shifted north.

Not really. I caught some rain in San Benito but that was it. From SA to CC, I did catch occasional gusts though.
