We sure wouldn’t mind getting some rain from this system
here in West Texas! Just hope no one gets hurt!

Have you had time to button up the windows and batten down the hatches?

Yeah, my husband put the shutters up today. I did as much as I could before I left. This just kind of threw me for a loop though because it wasn’t supposed to be here until
friday and then when I left tomorrow night. I haven’t got my list completely checked off and that drives a list person up the wall:’)

To: SouthTexas
Unusual isn’t it? We usually shoo these things north:’)

To: CindyDawg
I’ve been trying to pull it up here all day! LOL
You should have stopped by here on your way home, we could have stocked you up. :)

Galveston Island checking in. The fish have been properly terrorized and/or fitted with brand new ‘lip rings.’ (Bayside only.) One lovely red drum decided to join me for dinner.
Breezy, winds straight West.
Prayers for y’all down there in Brownsville.

I had no internet access today. I was expecting to have all day tomorrow to check stuff. I even stopped in Austin and the grandkids and I toured the capital. About your area though, I was throwing happy meals in the back seat and burning asphalt..

To: SouthTexas
IT ain’t over yet, a little jog to north could make a big difference. As a matter of fact I seem to have noticed a little northerly jog and it has realy slowed down so we will see.

I don't know if you guys follow Weatherunderground, but there's a chap there - MichaelSTL - that I trust implicitly and explicitly, and here's his extrapolation of the eyewall, which sort of puts Brownsville and CindyDawg maybe out the woods.

This storm has been anything but typical. I bet the forecasters have been pulling their hair out over Dolly.A ten hour jog to the north will catch a lot of people by surprise.

Sometimes nasty critters like gar or tiger shark bite the line apart, earning themselves a hook, or 'lip ring.' ;)

Look at the brownsville radar. Put a straight edge on the west side of the eye, it is moving north right now, not west.

It does have a weird wobble working there.
Have seen them roll right up the coast before.
About time for the update.
