Newly formed Tropical Storm Dolly over the NW Caribbean Sea near 18.4N 84.2W. 1008 MB at 11AM this morning. Max sustained winds 40KT, gusts 50KT, moving NW at 15KT.
Hey, longtime no talk, how’s uncle Bill?
He’s doing good. Already in bed catching his beauty sleep as we speak. ;-)
It could graze the tip of the Yucatan.
Nice shot. It could become a hurricane, maybe not a very powerful one but a rainmaker that could cause flooding.
So...you think it’s going to ‘run the gap’ between Cuba and the Yucatan?
~~~
Yes,,,JMHO of course,,,
hmmm, center must be way south of convection, expect center to reform north of current best guess.
That’s the conjecture, and again, I’m frankly wondering if this isn’t a MS or AL cane.
Yup,,,Post # 164 shows that,,,
Links on Post # 166 show that too,,,
???????????????????????????????????...:0/
You have a Good Nite,,,;0)
Much as you and I need the rain, looks like somebody else is gonna get it. :(
I think all that high is gonna do is slow down the forward motion untill it moves and that could mean a longer time over water.
I think the apex/zenith of that 1016 isobar is her direction. In less than an hour, I’ve had to correct myself twice: this may be a FL ‘cane.
Definitely the most unpredictable storm I’ve ever followed.
FL? Very interesting.
Maybe that's why they keep sayin’ Dolly will go to the west.
The last local forcast I heard for my area is South winds,
100 degrees tomorrow!
High in the northern Gulf does it every time,,,
still show Dolly passing East of Cancun,,,
The leading edge looks like it's already in the Gulf,,,
I'm still tracking it NNW...
Waitin’ for the next update on the sat-pics...
TANKS...
That’s near the track of the 1916 storm,Post # 47,,,
I don’t take anything off the table at this point,,,
I lean toward the Texas-Louisiana coast,,,
Still tracking NNW...
