The entire BALCO investigation was nothing more than a huge waste of taxpayer dollars. I don't see doped up athletes going and committing violent crimes en masse against innocent bystanders. If these athletes suffer ill effects as a result of doping, then oh well, Darwin is at work.

I still believe that law enforcement should go after real criminals who actually pose a threat to the general public.

I suppose if one is comfortable with folks who cheat, lie to their fans and the Grand Jury and commit fraud — denying folks who “play by the rules” their fairly won rewards, then is was a waste of time to go after Olympic or Professional athletes who cheat or lie to Grand Juries....

Standards have been lowered enough....
We needn't lower them any further.
