The astonishing spectacle of a leopard savaging a crocodile has been captured for the first time on camera.
Seven more pics at the link. I figured that posting them all would be a no-no.

The article says that the leopard left without indicating if the croc became a meal. Could be eliminating threats in its territory. But the idea that it learned to hate the crocs has some appeal.
Cats in general are highly intelligent and problem solvers. My two female housecats display an intelligence and a range of emotional dispositions that shock me. Small domestic cats even have hunting instincts like their larger cousins. Cats are the ultimate predators.
Have you seen this??

Amazing.Makes you rethink animal intelligence and memory.
That is amazing. He is so affectionate.
The skin makes great handbags and boots.
Just think.....leopard skin coat with matching croc handbag and boots
You needn't be a PETA type to not want leopard skin anything and I don't. I want these animals to be around for some time. Being a guy, I'll pass on the handbag and boots.
“These big cats are enormously strong and have a savage temperament far greater than these big reptiles. I have seen shows on Animal TV where tigers swim across rivers and the crocs stay far away as possible.”
Maybe the crocs were`nt hungry. If the water is deep enough so that a big cat would have to swim to cross it, they would`nt have a snowballs chance in hell against a croc.
One HuffPoer blamed global warming for the leopards attack against the croc.
The crocs swam away quite quickly. The natives were quoted as to have witnessed tigers attacking crocs and getting the better of them.
I don`t doubt a tiger could manage to kill a croc on dry land or in very shallow water. But in deeper water where it had to swim to keep from sinking, it would be helpless against a croc.
I agree with you about the deep water against a big salt water croc. But lots of people do not realize how huge tigers are. Their claws are 2-3 inches long and are like knives and their paws are 10-12 inches across.
Yup. They are definately an awesome cat.
