We have the coal (and *lots* of it), we have the gasification technology (and have had for decades), and the resulting fuel burns very cleanly.

Given the advances in science over the last 6 decades, you'd think that the 1940s technology could be greatly improved upon. I remember hearing that there are more BTUs of energy under the plains of Wyoming in the form of coal than there are under Saudi Arabia in the form of oil.

For a country the size of Montana, only colder, to try to take over the whole world is something else. It’s amazing how many countries it took to beat them.

The hardcore left here will never allow such a thing, regardless of how cheap or efficient To think that believers in freedom used to have the same kind of hammerlock on opinion in this country as the Hard Left does now!

It is a losing proposition for them, though. They are on record as having a “let ‘em eat cake” attitude. According to polls on the news and on FR, more and more American blame Congress (especially the Dems) for the high cost of petrol.

With heating oil at $4 a gallon it would be seen favorably if you deliver a ton.

The energy shortage isn’t a problem for Dems. It is an opportunity.

There is not a problem in all the world or their own fetid imaginations that the Demonrats do not consider an opportunity to grab more power.
