The father of a 12-year-old girl who tried to keep a young man from groping his daughter at a popular Shakopee amusement park was seriously hurt late on July 4 after he was allegedly kicked and stomped by a group of men in an attack police called "brutal."
The attack on the unnamed man, which happened just outside Valleyfair Amusement Park, resulted in charges against at least six Twin Cities-area men. They were among several people the initial attacker called on his cell phone to summon them to join the assault.
The group beat up the father as his wife and daughter looked on, police said. The man was seriously injured and unconscious when police arrived.
"We see assaults, but that's brutal," Shakopee police Sgt. Jay Arras said.
Arras said the man and his family were leaving Valleyfair shortly before midnight on July 4 when a man "tried to grab the 12-year-old girl in a sexual manner" near the park exit, the father later told police.

We were at a fast-food restaurant awhile back, and this old guy (in his 80’s or so) was staring intently at my daughter’s backside as she walked by him (she was 10 and young for her age — not even curvy at all).
I had the children meet me outside, while I walked right up to that weirdo, and said, “She’s a LITTLE GIRL, you pervert! Stop staring at her!” He looked at me all shocked, fumbling for his words, but I made enough of a scene to embarrass him (he was a regular there, I was told later). We’ve never seen him there since. I guess that could have got me punched or worse, but I didn’t care.

It’s just not realistic to pretend that I am carrying every time I go out in public with the misses and the rugrats. There are many places where it is just not workable. I realize that I should stay clear of such places but I dislike the idea that I should need to in my own country.

I realize that I should stay clear of such places but I dislike the idea that I should need to in my own country.
Once again...I understand. And once again....we must be wise.
It's simple in my mind. I carry when I think I need to carry.
Fortunately in my case....I live in a very rural area. Very low crime rates. But I'm not 75 miles from a big city with big city problems.
So, I attempt to make the best decision. That's all I can do.

I just don’t think that we currently live under the government of the people anymore, so my expectations are very low. With that in mind, and with the safety of my family as my top priority, I will place no trust in outside intervention should the need arise.

I am astounded at what you did to that elderly man.
The man probably had Parkinsons Disease and his one big outing for the day was to go to get a cup of coffee at the fast food restaurant.
Staring by an elderly person is probably Parkinsons or a related disorder.
Instead of embarrassing him in front of everybody so he could never return, wouldn’t it have been more Christian to either leave or at least verify his motives before attacking?
My guess is that the T.L.A. listed in the pimping warrant is the same Terry Arnold arrested in the amusement park beating.

***No doubt the park operators were diligent in searching for weapons when this family entered the park, thereby ensuring these folks had no defense against this attack. The park will no doubt get sued big time. Also note that the wusses calling in other thugs with their cell phones is a conspiracy to commit murder charge, but I doubt the prosecutors will have the balls.
