Is there a ping list specifically for discussions and/or news concerning or related to J.R.R. Tolkien?
Thanks in advance for your help.
I take it they are seperate lists? Or two nicknames for the same list?
The "Ring Ping" is what we use for news alerts (for example if pictures of the sets of The Hobbit leaked).
Most of us just hang out in the Hole, depending on work schedules etc. (I visit morning and evening, usually) and keep up this running conversation that goes all over the place in terms of topics.
Anyone popping by with questions or comments about The Books or The Movies, or CSL, or whatever, will be greeted and treated nicely. Spark a level of interest and you'll get a lively discussion.
One ping to rule them all,
one ping to find them,
one ping to bring them all,
and in the freepness bind them.
I don’t suppose now is a good time to bring up the Shoes of Power...
...I'm just sayin' is all...
:)
There is a Narnia ping list, which was kept by DaveLoneRanger, but has since moved on to BlackVeil I think.
ecurbh is the keeper of the Ring Ping list.
The Hobbit Hole is not only a neverending thread, it is also a topic under General/Chat. If you look at it, it has most of the threads about the LOTR since around the time of the First Movie.
That sounds like a very ominous Ping.
I hope there aren’t nine Riders seeking it, disguised in black. :-)
Thank you, Lucius. It’s been bookmarked. :-)
