July 7th, 2008 - Google logo honors communist "artist"
Posted on 07/07/2008 6:27:18 AM PDT by AmericaIsScrewed08
Google's logo today honors the communist "artist" Marc Chagall. Chagall was a major supporter of the communist revolution in Russia in 1917, and was made Art Commissar by the Soviet government. He later emigrated to France and was active in Communist politics there as well.

Why do the swell fellows at Google honor communists like this Chagall character, but refuse to honor national holidays like Memorial Day?

Why do the swell fellows at Google honor communists like this Chagall character, but refuse to honor national holidays like Memorial Day?
Because those swell fellows are, deep down in their cardio-vascular pumps, a bunch of f'in Communists themselves, and they have fantasies of Google becoming the largest centrally controlled data base on the planet, just like the Soviets wanted before their liddle empire imploded.
Good post, good question, Welcome to FR.

I don't like Communism.
I don't like Modern Art.
I don't like Marc Chagall.
But the guy is considered a major 20th century artist. He's going to be periodically recognized as an important cultural figure. I don't think protesting it is worthwhile.

An unapologetic "So what?"
This is America. In America, Conservatives don't whine, they accomplish. Stop using Google and invent something else.
