“the senator’s charitable contributions were made to the John and Cindy McCain Family Foundation”

Scam. I say that as the contributor to “Mr and Mrs MWT Charitable Foundation.” It’s a legitimate charity, but you can put things like ranches in it and have your children be on the board and grandchildren, etc.

Rich people serve on each others charitable boards to get perks and free trips.

One thing about leftists and charity -

you’ll find they give to things like the philharmonic, the ballet, and other “cultural” organizations,

things that they and their fellow elites enjoy attending,

while conservatives give to charities that actually help poor people.
