“goggles stay on”...should have read!
Can’t always type and think at the same time~~LOL~~
I need to leave for awhile.
Gonna take a little rest cause I feel like I worked like a dog today. :)
Lacie is our girl and Toby is our boy. Toby came to us at 7 months, he had been badly abused and negected. I love them both.
Our Penny must have been loved by someone before coming to us .... she was a very lovable dog and loved us kids. I think she thought she was one of us. :)
How anyone could mistreat a puppy I will never understand. They paid 400.00 for him when they bought him. I spoke to the breeder hoping she would take him back. She didn’t have room but also was worried about the effect the abuse could have on him.
Bailey, the goldie, would have worn them all day. I had to snap the pic quick - Jack was not a happy camper (or maybe that should be “diver”). One “lesson” was enough - no matter how great the photo-op. :)
As hard as we tried, our two shelties would not go in the water. They stayed as far away as they could from that pool.
Our first sheltie was Dolly and when she died, we got another one, a girl, named Cagney. When Cagney died in hubby’s arms we cried for days. And never quit talking about her or Dolly. People bug me now about getting another one now since I’m alone and I just say “No way, I can’t go through that hurt anymore”. People who don’t love dogs can’t realize how much it hurts.
I miss you too Nan, and I LOVE that angel you gave me!!! She is beautiful and she shall forever live on top of my computer desk where I will see her every day. Thank you, my sweet friend. :-)
Dolly, I got the photos that you e-mailed and was so dismayed to see that I look awful in all but one of them (one is "passable", but just barely). Not your fault, of course. Jk didn't get any good ones of me either, so it isn't the photographers, it's the subject. *sigh* :-(
I am so looking forward to seeing my puppies again. We've had a great time on this trip, but we sure have missed our babies.
LOL. Well, now I am dying to know what this "huge job" is! And it's not fair that you got a head start, Billie. :-(
That is really a cute graphic! Thank you Billie for posting it for me to see.
BTW, I have the entire geneology of hubby's family. It goes back to Donegal, Ireland in 1675. Then it moves to Staunton, Va., and from there to what is now Mason County, WV. Names involved on the female sides are Lewis, Hinklin,Nibert,Eads (Eades),Stone, Cave, Baldwin, Crawford.
My husband’s brother just “rescued” a male blonde Cocker from the dog pound. Our son’s business is running a contest to “name Uncle Walt’s dog”. The business will give some freebies to the winner and for every photo sold of the dog, the money will go to the animal shelter. Anybody want to name Walt’s dog?
Seems that Cockeres are susceptible to eye tumors. Walt’s dog had one, but the vet successfully removed it.
Relieved to know you are on the ground again, and praying for an uneventful flight to Oakland. FOOD! LOL. I haven’t been hungry at all the rest of today. The pancakes have stayed with me (so will our time together).
Uhhh.......I didn’t mean that our time together will “stay with me” in the same way as the pancakes. I mean I won’t forget our time together, until I lose the rest of my memory. I mean................oh well. Love you.
LOL!! You are so funny, Nan. You just crack me up.
Hey, love you too! HUGS!
A vote?? Who voted, when, where??? LOL. How is this fair? Come on, Amy....at least e-mail me and tell me what this “hugh job” is. ;-)
We all voted... don't know what for, but Amy's right... you lost. :)
You, Billie and I each had a vote; you abstained.
LOL
