We're getting a summer thunder bumper. I gotta retire and get some rest. Had my yard sale today. Didn't make any money, but got rid of a lot of stuff. I took the left overs to the Goodwill. Now I can start gathering stuff for the next sale.
Anxious for Monday night. You guys be sure to come on out, no matter how kate. Your bed will be ready and waiting. It's not a bad drive. We do it all the time, there and back. Just make sure you take 23 out of Columbus and link up with U.S. 35 East. It's four lane all the way.
Nighty nite.
NIght, JC.
I haven’t been on too much - a dear friend called, and her husband passed away tonight - 56 years old. My heart is saddened...............
I am so sorry ,(((Yorkie))). May God be with your friend who has such a great loss and with you, her dear friend.
Sounds like you all will have so much fun..Don’t forget pictures!
Good morning, Nan. Hey, whatever you have in store for us will be just fine. Yes, I do want Jeff to get to experience your “country roads” and he is looking forward to it also. Sorry that we won’t get to see Chester’s Christmas tree, LOL. But, that’s okay.
Today we are heading over to Boston and maybe have time for a drive up the coast. It was raining when we woke up, but the past two days have been just perfect weather wise.
Gotta go and get ready for another long day. No, don’t you worry, we will rest on the plan tomorrow and be all ready to experience your Wild and Wonderful West Virginia.
Love ya’! :-)
This so touching and beautiful, (((jaycee)))..
Thank you, Cardhu, for posting it for jaycee!
I will admit MANY of these are yet elusive ... like the clutter one among others. dolly
1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk,
smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.
2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
3. Go to bed earlier and get more sleep.
4. When you wake up in the morning complete the following:
‘Today, my primary purpose is to __________.’
5. Live with the 3 E's — Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.
6. Play more games and read more books than you did
last year.
7. Make time to practice meditation, and prayer.
They provide us with daily fuel for our busy lives.
8. Spend time with people over the age of 70 and under
the age of 6.
9. Dream more while you are awake.
10. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat
less food that is manufactured or packaged in factories.
11. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries,
wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts.
12. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
13. Clear clutter from your house, your car, your desk and
let new energy flow into your life.
14. Don't waste your energy on gossip, issues of the past,
negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead
invest your energy in the positive present moment.
15. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn.
Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear
and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you
learn will last a lifetime.
16. Eat sensibly most of the time. Splurge on the goodies now & then.
17. Smile and laugh more. It will keep the NEGATIVE
BLUES away.
18. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
20. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
21. You won't win every argument. Agree to disagree.
22. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
23. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea
what their journey is all about.
24. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
25. Frame every so-called disaster with these words:
‘In five years, will this matter?’
26. Forgive everyone for everything(didn't say these were “easy”).
27. What other people think of you is none of your
concern and unless they “pay the bills”, you shouldn't worry about it.
28. Remember, God heals everything. Some healing takes longer than others
29. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
30. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick.
Your friends will. Stay in touch.
31. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
32. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
33. The best is yet to come.
34. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
35. Do the right thing!
36. Call your family often. Or email them to death!
37. Each night before you go to bed complete the following:
I am thankful for __________.
Today I accomplished _________.
38. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
39. Enjoy the ride. You only have one ride through life so
make the most of every moment, every single day.
May your troubles be less,
May your blessings be more,
May nothing but happiness come through your door!
I am so sorry about your friend’s husband. None of us know what tomorrow will bring. God Bless All.
Thanks Cardhu and thanks Meg. When I have a pretty one, I always ask Cardhu to be the judge. He is so good to post them. When I receive Powerpoints, they come as attachments and I can’t change to post on Amy’s. He does a great job and has shown presentations of places I will never see any other way!
I thought those topiary ones were tremendous!
Have a good day friends.
Thanks Meg....lovely message and flower.

Gee, you’re up early. I’ve got a busy day too. God bless, have fun.
Lovely Dolly! And I will read your tips later when I have time after church. Hope you get to visit with our FRiends. I am sure you all will have a ‘jolly good fun time’.
Randall Peterson, a retired autoworker, thinks there could be an interest for a new kind of Bible. He sarcastically says that a publisher ought to create an electronic Bible that would allow for editing from the pew. That way individuals and churches could make the Bible say what they want it to say. He says it could be called the LAME Bible: Locally Adaptive Multifaith Edition and could be sold to any church regardless of what it believes.
Hes making a point, of course, but we might be tempted by such a product. Jesus gives us some hard teachings! As believers, our desire is to be obedient to Him in our choices and attitudes, but at times we resist the Word of God and may wish we could soften His commands.
Some of Jesus hard teachings are found in the Sermon on the Mount. In Matthew 5, He says: Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you (v.44). Thats what He tells us to do, so we know we cant just delete it. We need to apply it to our personal situation with the Holy Spirits enablement.
Gods Word is to be obeyed by His people. Were the ones who need to be revisednot the Scriptures.
Beautiful presentations, Cardy. Just breathtaking...thank you! :)
