I had my hair cut today, and although I won’t really know until I do it myself tomorrow, I think she did OK.

Hairdressers that do what they want, instead of what you want drive me, but she listened.

I had mine cut two weeks ago, but even though a good 9” was cut off, there is still some of the permanent left, so the style I wanted has to be gotten by rolling my hair.

Of course, in this humidity, it doesn’t matter. :o])

I cooked my eggplant in the skillet with a little bell pepper (left from the dragons’ breakfast), and then cut it up and ate it with lettuce. Then I spent an hour on the treadmill getting into “Flood Tide.” I like Dirk Pitt a lot, and the writing is really good, although it’s getting to be predictable already: Oh, here’s a description and two paragraphs of reflection. This will be followed by gunfire or an explosion, a fairly short chase, and then a massive, set-piece action scene with several deaths.

Great stuff for teens to read, right?

LOL!

I like books I don’t have to decipher to know what’s going on. Of course, I’ve been known to plow through things like Josephus...

If Bill or Anoreth try them, they’ll both like them. We used to have Josephus on the shelf, and I think Anoreth’s had it out of the library. Blood and guts and politics, like all great history!

I’m sure they will like the books. They also make good action movies.

Josephus is buried outside somewhere, in a bag, in a crate, under the tarps....as are most of my books. It will be like having new books again, by the time I get them out of storage!

Are there movies? Who is in them (besides the photogenic Clyde Cussler himself)?

Matthew McConnahay (sp?) was in Sahara, along with William H Macey, and a couple of others I can’t think of. That was pretty cool. It followed the book pretty closely.

I’ll have to look for it at Blockbuster. Matthew Mcwhatsis is okay.

I had to shut down for a bit. It’s probably going to be an almost daily thing until the monsoons are over. :o[

80’s here and clear skies. DP has taken Bill and Tom to Scouts. Elen is off in the sticks at a campout/birthday party for a friend from Girl Scouts. Ain’t nobody here but me and catz and byos.

How is the sound level? Enough to make the wine taste really good, I bet!

I should have a glass...I’m sure it will do wonders for my frame of mind! (And even for my frame of body!)

The catz are fast asleep in sunbeams, and the byos are watching “There Goes a Race Car!” All that’s missing is the wine. I’m thinking of going to put my nightgown on.

I’ve figured out the evil Chinese tycoon’s diabolical plot to destroy the earth and kill Dirk Pitt, and I’m only 2/5 through the book. The author’s probably trying to make me feel smart :-).

Wellnow. All you need to do is read the last chapter and you can take the book back to the library! :o])

LOL!!!

LOLOL!

Iknowhuh? I like to read to the end, even if I have figured out whodunnit.

I was reading one by Dan Brown, (Digital Fortress) and by the end of the book, I kept thinking of the guy who was killed who set all those things in motion. The thought that came to my mind was: How did he know he was being filmed? I didn’t think I’d missed anything in the first few chapters....

Musta been operator error, or something. *snort*

“Continuity glitch,” they call that in the movies.

Ah. thanks! That explains it all. NOT!

I usually like Dan Brown’s books; most of them take place in a 24 hour period. Wear ME out!
