Well, the rug was synthesized from a sulpher munching mat of bacteria and crossed with bacteria that emit synthetic threads.

The overhead vents need something to keep an eye on them.

Automotive technology has a class for a couple hours Friday mornings, followed by garage time. I assume we’ll need to buy books for this stuff at some point ... have to look into it next week.

"The overhead vents need something to keep an eye on them. Remember the chameleonmonkeyrat?" Don't know why we need to worry about that. All that's likely to occur is a build-up of fabric lint, odd tissue cultures, and a tendency to move rapidly ...
On second thought, a maintenance program on the vents could be a good idea.

Hello and goodnight! Getting up early to run tomorrow. Then we have to go to the mall to look for size 2 or size 0 pants for Anoreth, who seems to have a tapeworm because she’s next thing to fighting the dragons over the crickets, appetite-wise.

Anoreth is long past growing. I don’t know what it is - maybe meanness-metabolism. Bill, on the other hand, may be 6 feet tall tomorrow, and I guarantee the leftover hamburger from supper will be gone in the morning.

You know its going to be a bad day when you open your eyes and the first thing you see is asphalt...Well, that's pretty bad, but it can be even worse when you open your eyes in the morning and the first thing you see is a$$-fault.

"Well, that's pretty bad, but it can be even worse when you open your eyes in the morning and the first thing you see is ..." My worst morning, that I can recall at the moment, started with my opening my eyes to discover that the sun was in the wrong place.
What that meant was that during the night, my associate driver had taken a wrong turn, and driven North for about four hours, instead of West.
Uncharitably, my first words were not "Good Morning!" or "I'd like some coffee." but "Where's the map?"
