Wellden...I’ll just have to be happy with what I have, won’t I?

"Wellden...I’ll just have to be happy with what I have, won’t I?"

That would be the beginning of wisdom.

Afternoon, y’all. Back from church. We did a new song that went fairly well. We’ll do it again next week. A South American man who has his own band volunteered to do our service at the end of August. I’ll just have to make copies of their songs for the congregation. It will be nice to have a week off, especially since we’ll have just gotten school going.

That sounds good, taking a week off.
Congratulations on the new song! I’m sure all of your songs are good ones, as I can’t imagine you doing anything less!

Warm, humid and ugly here. If only it would rain...

But now I have to go write an article for the provincial newsletter. *\:-| If I do it well enough I may become a regular reporter, as well as founder. *\:-|

And then I can say, “I knew you when...!”

It’s dried out here, but the barometer is falling, so I’m not long for the computer....another hour will probably do me in.

LOL, not the way it’s going today. I know when I’m just not in a good writing mood, and right now is such a time. They only want 150-300 words — but I’m already at 150 words and haven’t really gotten into the topic of the article. But it’s easier to cut later, so I’ll just blather on.

That's one of my failings.

But since I'm the only one who reads most of my tripe, I just slog on. If I ever get to something meaningful, I can go back and blaze a trail to it.

That’s what I did. Slogged on to some 600 words and sent it off the editor asking for further direction.

I’ve been transcribing from a printout of something I thought I had lost.

A little over six hundred words so far, with about eighteen hundred to go.

It’s a perfect opportunity to tighten up the prose, but guess what? I’m changing a word here and there, but no major re-write.

It’s all descriptive narrative, from the opening of yet another novel I hope to complete. Scenes that I composed in my head long before I sat down to record them. I don’t want to change a thing.

But I do want to see where it goes. Outer space, I’m pretty sure.

Hm. I kind of know the territory you describe but it’s FAR more dull — letter to legislators on upcoming bills, or proposed changes to technical standards. The kind of stuff that if it excites one, you’re further than I down the road to insanity insanity insanity insani... (mmmph!)

I’m assuredly further down the road than you are toward something, but as Tiamat says, “It’s okay, they know me here.”

At one time it bother me that I wasn't what modern society would call normal. By now I see normal is kinda weird and lines or too long. It never stays the same because it's standards or always changing technical or not. But one I am not sure how to do is write letters to Barbara Boxer and Diane Findstein and not worry about being put on a list some where.

I know I spelled her name wrong but it's late.

Just write:

Diane Feinstein
Barbara Boxer

Oil is too expensive.
Can you help me?
You don't want to include too much detail. They have limited attention spans.

Morning.

I don’t know how long I’ll last here, today, but I wanted to at least let you know I’m still kicking. Not stirring up much dust, though....I feel like Jimmy Durante in “It’s A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.”
