It keeps threating to rain for the past week but can't quite work up the nerve.
I wish it would. I don't like watering the garden, cheapskate that I am!

I had a cake fall apart on me once while in a cake baking contest at church while in HS. I wanted to make Noah ark using animal crackers. After the first cake broke apart I baked a second one. While the baking the replacement cake I took the broken pieces and piled then on a plate and covered them with white icing. Noah's Ark came out OK this time I also so took the other cake and labeled it Mount Ararat. They gave me 1st prize for most original design.

LOL!
I made my own birthday cake when I was nine. I was doing a good job until one of my teenaged brothers came in. I wanted pale blue frosting, but by the time my brother got done, it was a really horrible greenish blue.
But it was my cake, and I was proud of it. I ended up eating most of it. I don’t think my brother even remembers....

I discovered in college that green food dye in corn bread will slow down a little how fast your room mates will eat the corn bread. Red didn’t work as well.

I discovered in college that green food dye in corn bread will slow down a little how fast your room mates will eat the corn bread. Red didnt work as well. My fraternity pledge group learned on the morning after Hell Night that creative use of food coloring can really slow down the frat's pancake consumption. Add some unexpected flavoring (like peppermint) and it slows further. We had one holdout through it all, the frat president, but even he folded after being served green orange juice.
(And they thought they'd made the kitchen "safe" before turning us loose to cook their breakfast. Didn't account for the ingenuity of us engineering majors. *\;-)

Jeez...this town has so many houses and other buuildings that jump out in front of motorists, it’s not even funny any more.
Two in the last 36 hours, and probably a total of 15 in the last five months. Most are DUI, but not all. Just carelessness.

Yikes. If they're jumping in front of
motorists maybe I'd best cancel my trip. I mean, pedestrians do less damage, so how much are they jumping in front of those? Can't go speaking with my nose all wrapped in bandages now...
Don't they have leash laws there?

The pedestrians on the Strip are known as “speed bumps.” Most of the motorists on the Strip oare tourists, and they have no idea that other tourists like to jay-walk.
The folks that drive into the houses are on their ways home. They get side-tracked and take a short-cut to jail.
