In the good ole days, when liberals were actually liberal, focused upon individual liberty above all else, and Democrats were actually democratic instead of dictatorial elitists focused more on not counting votes than on letting every voice be heard, the words democratic change had a very different meaning.
The concept of democracy has since been hijacked. In the 2008 race for the White House, the Democrat candidate with the most popular support is Hillary Clinton. But somehow, the DNC nominee is Barack Hussein Obama. Not so long ago, this could not have been defined as democracy in action. It would have been rightfully referred to as the hijacking of a party nomination.
Democracy used to suggest a limited government representing the common interests of the people, who were otherwise free to pursue individual interests without government interference.
Today, democracy has been perverted to meet with definitions by Thomas Jefferson, A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine. and Karl Marx, Democracy is the road to Socialism.
In the 2000 election, it was Democrats who worked around the clock to make certain that the overseas military vote was NOT counted, using any technicality available in election law to disenfranchise as many military votes as possible. Thats because military votes always lean 8-1 Republican.
The endless recounts in Florida were the result of voter confusion over a butterfly styled ballot, which was designed by Florida FEC democrats, and had been used by democrats in many districts for years, with the sole intent of confusing voters. This time, it backfired and cost Democrats the White House. It confused Democrat voters instead of Republican voters this time.

I lament what our nation has become. Now we will go through a correction the hard way. Such a shame.
Every claim of modern liberalism, every single one, becomes the complete opposite when everything is said and done.
If liberal policies worked in the real world as well as they work in seminars and speeches, cities such as Detroit and Chicago and Washington, DC would be cities with world-class K-12 education, would have affordable housing in good physical condition, low crime rates as the social policies of liberalism squeezed out criminal tendencies, and would have perpetual balanced budgets as the public money was spent wisely.
The middle class people who have fled such cities would be flocking back if these cities had responded well to liberal policies and liberal leadership.
Why are conservatives held to high standards regarding whether conservative policies have worked to solve the problems as intended, but liberal policies are never held to any standard regarding whether they have solved the problems they seek to solve? Why aren’t liberals held accountable for the terrible social problems and education problems in some of our big cities, when their policies were supposed to solve those problems? Do any liberals ever admit that their policies have not worked out as planned?
[Why arent liberals held accountable for the terrible social problems and education problems in some of our big cities, when their policies were supposed to solve those problems?]
Liberals have no standards, no soul, and a completely screwed up and reversed sense of personal values.
Any questions?
One could only wish it were so. A minority represented by certain judges has dictated to society public policy in the areas of marriage, abortion, battlefield enemies, and so much more. We live under a tyranny far worse than that of King George III.
That’s why we have a Constitutionally limited Representational Democratic Republic and not a democracy.
“Do any liberals ever admit that their policies have not worked out as planned?”
I’m convinced, completely, that the reason for this neglect of reality is that liberals don’t care at all about what really happens to the poor or to the downtrodden, and that their only desire (as Rush has been saying for years) is to recieve credit for having “good intentions.”
