Kos is gloating over producing Barack Obamas birth certificate. First, generally vital statistical records are not available to anyone except the subject of the record unless they have signed a release (Im checking Hawaiis laws). Perhaps the Light Being gave him a copy, who knows. But the interesting thing about this certificate is the description for race on Obamas father, it lists him as African. In 1961 all Live Birth certificates contained the word Black, which is a race, not African.
Not that it cant be real, and I really dont care, but hey, this is Screw em Kos. Take a look.
Per lgf:
This is NOT a birth certificate, its a certification of live birth a slightly different thing.
And yes, the campaign did give it to Moulitsas for posting; he says so in the comments.
But I checked with the vital statistics registrar in Hawaii and the African nomenclature is incorrect. In 1961 it would have been black or even, negro.
Other abnormalities noted by Suitability Flip.
Based on this, as far as Im concerned the jurys still out.
Now you’re being logical. I should report you!
In 1961, it would have said “Negro.” Nobody, but nobody, said “Black” until around 1967, and it took several years before it was standard.
"Prophetically, he did not use the term "Negro," and alone among the speakers talked of "black people" and the "black masses."
Top marks, zert!!!
Either this "document" is a total fabrication, or it is based upon something the Obamoids, and Obama himself, chose to have released. If the latter, it would seem that it is not completely authentic, for some unknown (at this time) reason or another.
Because a birth certificate has additional information, such as whether or not his parents were married (probably not), his religion (Muslim) and his birth name (probably Barry).
“That” means the idea that the law you mention applies to Osama’s birth, assuming, as we reasonably should, that he was born in Hawai’i.
Now, if he were hatched on Proxima Centauri, that’s different.
Nothing odd about unfolded birth cert. Three people in my family have bc’s similar to the one depicted here, and they’re all unfolded. I still have the envelope on the one I requested for a passport some years ago, an odd size suggesting they have a policy about not folding the certs. And if you go in person to the clerk’s, they print it out and hand it over unfolded.
“It says Country of birth: Honolulu”
No, it says “County”
LOL! Freepers crack me up.
My mistake.
It’s a fake.
It would also be interesting to know if he registered for selective service before the age of 25 as the law requires. If not, he is not eligible for Federal employment.
That is simply not true. Getting a birth certificate is usually as simple as going to city hall and paying the fee. This is a common method of identity theft.
I just checked with the all-knowing Mom. Her birth certificate issued in the 1950’s was on plain white paper and had a seal (the kind you apply and then press on); obtaining a copy fifteen years later, she received a certificate on colored paper with no separate seal, stating it was a true copy; and in the 1990’s another requested copy was provided that was printed on “check paper,” or safety paper (like the paper of Obama’s certificate here). This paper was not in use in the 1960’s, but it’s what is commonly used now.
Nothing peculiar about Obama’s certificate except the blacking out of the number.
In ‘61 they were called Negro, and that wasn’t a bad thing.
My recollection as well. In Florida, at least, "colored" was the polite term used by older folks; "Negro" was the preferred term amongst polite, and liberal, society.
Just one tiny piece in the reams of fabricated truths (?) about the Radical Messiah. That’s why the Radical Messiah has his own personal Gestapo to discredit anyone that tries to tell the truth about his background and radical associates. IMO, he is a national disgrace.
They just leave it out now, in 2008. The 1961 copy probably said "Negro" and a lot of other stuff we're too advanced to say now. :)
Again, it is common practice now to issue certificates that are NOT exact copies of old originals.
I was born in the 1970's, and they used two different forms, a long form and a short; the long form had details like the name of the attending physician, and whether it was a single, twin, triplet birth; the short was like Obama's in the photo, with only the bare bones.
My father was a multiple, and his birth cert in the 1950's noted this fact. The short form he had copied for military service, didn't give such details.
Don’t they ink the babies feet and put the prints on the certificate?
That’s part of the long form. Mother’s fingerprint too.
Art, you’re totally silly. You had half the politicians in the Souf’ using the N’word, and “Negro” would not pass their lips.
