3 Die In Motorcycle Crashes; 2 Were Brothers

UPDATED: 12:50 pm EDT June 20, 2008

BALTIMORE -- Three people were killed in the last week in motorcycle crashes. Two of the victims were brothers, officials said.

Maryland State Police said that Frederick Bruce Dolly, 57, of Westminster, was killed at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday when a truck hit the rear of his vehicle on Interstate 795.

The crash occurred on the highway north of Owings Mills Boulevard, troopers said.

According to state police, a pickup truck hit the rear of the motorcycle and Dolly was ejected.

The collision is under investigation.

Meanwhile, Maryland Transportation Authority police said that two Landover brothers were killed in nearly simultaneous motorcycle crashes on Interstate-895 in Baltimore last weekend.

Police spokesman Cpl. Jonathan Green said his agency learned from state police Sunday night that a trooper was following at least one motorcyclist on Interstate 95 who then transitioned onto I-895.

Green said that moments later, police got calls from motorists reporting the crashes on the off ramp to Holabird Avenue. He said Suky Aming Heureaux, 25, and Suky Shamil Heureaux, 24, died from their injuries.

State police said a trooper followed a motorcyclist after clocking a group of bikes at nearly 100 miles per hour on northbound I-95 near Route 32, but lost the biker at the entrance to the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel. The crashes occurred about a mile north of the tunnel exit.

State police said there was no chase, but relatives are questioning police accounts of the moments leading up to the crash.

Sorry but given the number of idiot drivers on the road, motorcycle riders seem to have little regard for their own safety. Most of the riders I see don’t even wear a helmet.

Yes that is it. I was going to relate a very bad accident I came out of okay on the 280S off the Crystal Springs Rd exit ramp in San Bruno 1990.

It obliterated a BMW K100 and I did not ride again for 10 years. In 2000 I bought a BMW R1100s non-abs and rode it until 2005 when I sold it and have not ridden since. Never down, but I did go through tires especially front tires. I was to worried about getting clobbered by red light runners here in the Chicago area so I sold it.

I'm trying to figure out what nationality those names are. Does anyone know?
Well, the last of their family name suggests French... but the first of their family names... I have never seen before.. As for their given names, I'm clueless...

Off an elevated ramp on a stolen motorcycle, presumbably at speed. Sweet.

Enjoy the ride down Suky . . .

I am sure there are idiot motorcycle drivers out there, but the majority of injuries and death are caused by people in cars that are oblivious to motorcycles...
