For a different thrill, you can drive past (but don’t stop), what is locally known as “the Bendix plant”, in southern KC where nuclear weapons electronics are assembled.

The KCP is a neat place (been there several times) but I do not think they have tours! :-)

Worked at Bendix for 14 years as an inspector. Loved the work, hated the atmosphere. No guided tours and if you stop by the road to take a look security will visit you.

Years ago someone was reported watching the plant with binoculars. Turned out to be a PI hired by a wife to see who her husband was leaving with.
