Great minds think alike. I shot a guy once with a .38 hollowpoint and he kept shooting until my partner put him down with a carbine. Never carried one again.

You have to know how to use the firearm without thinking. Literally.

...but I can use a 1911 in my sleep, so why change the habits of a lifetime now?

Like minds. : )

“Just for the fun of it, fire your .44 inside a small room with no hearing protection.”

***Are you nuts?***

If someone breaks in at 3:00AM and you fire the gun you will be so shook you will never hear the shot you just fired.

We found this out while quail hunting. A quail flew, we all cut loose with 12 guages. one dead quail and three hot guns. None of us heard a shot.

Some day when you're seasoned enough to have to wear readers, color code your ammo cases... ~snort

If someone is in your abode as a threat at 3:00AM and a life threat, you will be partially deaf and alive rather than dead deaf. ; )

Depends upon where the shot was placed, however at close range no matter where or how hard one is shot, the body still responds and continues for a short period of time.

My dad hated his snubbie. He said you would have a better chance at hitting the target if you threw the gun at him versus trying to shoot him with it. It was great inside of ten feet.

IMO, that's what snubbies are for!

Light weight, small, and used only in close proximity when needed.

Accuracy and show of talent for less pressing times is reserved for the more accurate long barrels.

I'm a fair shot with it, but I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with the snubnose.

Generally speaking, I doubt that snub nosed defensive tools were tested in R&D for their effectiveness against assaulting barns. ; )

It’s a good gun! I use to shoot bowling pins at 50 feet. Consistantly able to knock down 4 pins with 4 or 5 shots.

That was the extent of the range I was on, so I don’t know if it would be as accurate at further distances.

I practice quick-fire on bowling pins at 7 yards w/ my .357. I never gave too much consideration to distance accuracy - until I took my 17yo son to the range. I watched him consistently put five shots slow-fire into a pie plate at 50 yards (yes, yards) with his mother's .38 Taurus. The kid is amazing and so is the snubby.

One of these days I've got to save up for that paternity test.
