Very cool. I have a Summer home by a lake in Chepachet.
(Pronounced 'shep hatchet' but those in the know say it 'shep ah shay')

Thanks, I was raised in Chepachet and have a brother that lives in and apartment near the now closed drug store named Chepachet pharmacy.

Welcome. Keep the faith and if you ever get the chance listen to John Hagee. Bar none, he is the best preacher I have ever heard, live or on TV. He gets people excited about Jesus.

the now closed drug store named Chepachet pharmacy. Is that the newly vacated former CVS?
BTW...technically, Spring Grove Pond is in Glocester. So is Coomer's Pond where I spend my weekends in the summer. Chepachet is the downtown "village" area of Glocester.
My sister and her husband own a 62 acre farm off of Snake Hill Road. A really lovely area to spend the summer.

The newly vacated former CVS was next to the post office, but that is not the one I'm talking about. The one I'm talking about was when you're leaving Chepachet from the center of town, you go by the Purple Cat diner and the drugstore was the next business. CVS, bought it out, but relocated to a large store on the corner of Rte.44 & 102. My brother rents a house from the Purple Cat owner.
Coomer’s Pond is cold like Spring Grove, and I know the pond you're talking about. Spring Grove pond is on Spring Grove Road, which is off Douglas Hook Rd. after you pass the old Chepachet School.
I know of a couple farms off Snake Hill Rd. Yes, it is a nice place to spend the summer. It's dangerous at the corner of Rte. 102 and Snake Hill Road. There's a traffic light there, but you still have to be careful when crossing.

There's a traffic light there, but you still have to be careful when crossing. I heard that. Even with the light green coming off Snake Hill and turning right onto 102, you have to watch your left for people flying down that hill, not paying attention to the lights.
We've been hoping someone would buy that property where the Purple Cat was. It's a great location and has so much potential given the right kind of place and design. Maybe someday.

I know that true. I believe there must be a lot of accidents in that place. Thanks
