Just read yesterday, that Jimmy Smits will join the 'Dexter' cast, in season 3 for 10 episodes, playing the scion of a rich family - cum investigator, that ends up in an unlikely alliance with Dexter, to hunt down a serial killer.
Season 3, will air on Showtime this fall.
cum investigator???
We used to watch Dexter, but it was too graphic a show and we finally gave up on it.
Definitely not for the kids, It’s a particularly gruesome at points, I agree, but it is in my mid, also one of the most unique plot lines to hit the small screen in a while. Can’t say i’m a horror flick fan at all, but i do like the plot twists of ‘Dexter’. Can’t really say that you could call ‘Dexter’ a “horror show” anyways...but it most definitely is dark...in plot and humor.
But if you think ‘Dexter’ is too graphic, don’t watch ‘Sweeney Todd’. It makes ‘Dexter’ look antiseptic by comparison. >;o)
I knew *somebody* would go there. :)
Yes. I believe it did. Unfortunately, another show that got canned was ‘New Amsterdam’...That was a disappointment. I liked the show...it had potential.
No Dexter thread?
I have been hooked for two seasons now.
No kiddies in the house and free to watch what I choose.
Dexter If you are still watching just screwed up big time.
It was inevitable. following the characters motives. The “weather” conference argument seemed a little weak to me, and Rita falling for the neighbor, *that* is bound to have some interesting twists. Yep! still watching, still hooked. can’t wait to see the episode where the Trinity killer gets inerviewed by the police, and how they will deal with Dexter, and him being revealed to Trinity as a police expert.
So, what did you think of the Dexter Season 4 finale?
I liked it overall, but what they did to the wife’s character...I just don’t know...They may be working on some sort of overarching plotline, making Dexter more free to deal with the “dark passenger”, but I tyhought she was a good balancing character that helped “humanize” Dexter. I guess I’ll just have to wait to see how it develops next season, but I am dubious as to whetther it was a good thing for the continuum of the Dexter narrative.
I certainly hope the writers are up to the task. He most certainly is in for a wild ride.
There is one thing i’ve thought about a few times over the seasons...with Dexters hinted at body count, how come none of the characters ever mentions an overall drop in the amount of perps in the city over the years since Dexter began “taking the trash out”?
Specifically the “Career criminals”, and truly vicious criminals, that are “there one day, and gone the next”, and never return...
