I went to the help center on you tube but I was confused even more, hence all my mistakes I pointed out. It has gone from bad to worse.
When I try to play a you tube link, I keep getting, 'we're sorry, but the video is no longer available'. Now, I know that's not true because it works just fine for the FReepers who post the links.
Please help, I'm missing out on some I'm sure are great political videos.

Do you have an example of a link that doesn’t work?

If it says that, the video was pulled. Is that for ANY video, or a specific one?

I have the same problem and when I hit refresh, it works.
On about 90% of my youtube links, I the ‘this video is no longer available” and then I hit refresh,it plays. Don’t ask me why, but it does.

Let me know if it works! (hitting refresh)

I have had this before and I had to go to adobe and download the uninstaller for flash and reinstall. You can't just uninstall it to work you must have the uninstaller.

Once you have downloaded the installer, close all browser windows, download tabs, etc, before installing. Drove me nuts until I did that, then it worked.

Make sure javascript is turned on in Firefox (Tools->Options->Content and make sure the Javascript box is checked).
If that's okay, then you should re-install the flash plugin for Firefox. This youtube help page shows how to do that.
If you're having trouble installing the flash plugin this may help.

Adobe stuff sucks. Flash plug-in/non-plugin java versions constantly conflict and won’t run. I can’t look at any youtube either. When I click “install latest and greatest” it simply brings me back to the install page.

Had this same problem a while back. There’s something goofy about that update. I had to do a restore to fix it. The uninstall didn’t work. Now when it asks me to install the update, I pull a BillyJeff & deny deny deny. So far so good.
