The time crept by so slowly and painfully that the 23-year-old Columbia University journalism student had decided it was time to end her life.
Over many torturous hours, she had been repeatedly raped, sodomized and forced to perform oral sex, a prosecutor told a jury on Thursday. The accused, Robert A. Williams, 31, had doused the womans face and body with boiling water and bleach, forced her to swallow handfuls of pills and to chase them with beer, sealed her mouth with glue, and bound her wrists and legs with shoelaces, cords and duct tape, said the prosecutor, Ann P. Prunty. And now, Ms. Prunty said, he was asking the woman to gouge out her own eyes with a pair of scissors.

Robert Williams
There are no words for something this horrific. He’s lower than an animal.
Another brilliant example of humanity just living to dominate. These idiots. What kind of interaction with others have they had? Why no respect for anothers’ life? Why torment the helpless? What an effing oaf.
My God, this poor woman. No punishment I can think of would be too horrific for him. Hell was made for scum like this.
It may be time for ‘tar’ and a 2x4:-()
I guess giving this pig the death penalty would be out of the question since the liberals think that it’s “cruel and unusual.”
chain-tree-blowtorch.
Still.......the lunatics in New York can’t justify killing this bastard....
I wonder why it was left us to imagine the race of both the victim and perp......
Goodness, this guy gives monsters a bad name. I mean literally most monsters are better than him, some a lot better.
Just when you thought you had heard it all........
I literally physically FLINCHED twice during that detailed rape. Oh my God!
Why was this creep’s earlier murder trial “sealed”? Probably because he was a minor, but so what? If a minor has all the makings of a psychopathic murderer, should not society have the right to know?
The line is that he needed another chance. Finally he succeeded in ruining the life of an innocent, useful person.
It is time we got back to the basics of justice: that evil should be punished, and the innocent and weak protected. It is not a game of catch-me-if-you can, with a “level playing field” for lawyerly sport.
Another function of justice is revenge for evil. It is not the field for forgiveness, which is an individual matter. If governments are not empowered to carry out retributive punishment, then the people will do it themselves, and we will have vendetta. That will be the ultimate result of the work of groups like the ACLU.
Where did this fellow think he was, Abu Ghraib, and he was one of the unauthorized bunch of tormenters that had free run of the place?
This was torture with sexual emphasis.
Not putting juveniles down is just delaying the inevitable.
So flame me.
This guy is black and the victim is white but this isn’t a hate crime. What am I missing here.
No nation on the planet has done more for blacks, with less gratitude in return or been damaged more from their presence.
And he’s likely to be smug and arrogant through the whole trial. Any perp who cops the smug attitude through the whole trial, even when the guilty plea is given, deserves to be executed immediately after the trial, exempt from the “cruel and unusual punishment” statute.
Does New York State have a death penalty?
Public hanging needs a comeback (short drop)
